As some of you may know we are getting ready to close on our new house(YAY!!!)!! But... We were doing some last min things that needed to be done when I realized there were a BUNCH of holes in the yard. Some small some pretty big. I took photos and my dad said it sounds like woodchucks also known as groundhogs, whistle pigs, and land-beavers. Yes, all those are very real names that people call them!
What does this mean for us and the house closing? Well.... we are going to be talking with the Realtor to see if the sellers were aware of this issue. The previous times we were at the house we walked thru the yard but the grass was kind of high and we just really weren't looking for something like that. We love the house and will still be purchasing it but we need to get these woodchucks removed! Right now our plan is to call our local wildlife place and have them trap and relocate them. Hopefully, before the snow falls we can get the holes filled in!
On top of all that there is some Virginia Creeper growing and if you don't know what that is it's pretty much poison ivy's cousin! So we can either spray it and remove it, paint it with glyphosate, or hire a tree and landscaping comping to come remove it. After some research, I found out that the berries are deadly to humans if consumed. We have kids so that is our top priority after everything is final on the house.
I hope you all have a nice weekend and I will keep you updated!
